I cannot believe that our trip is almost coming to an end, it feels like just three days ago we were barely arriving in Morocco for the first time! I’m both excited and nervous for Spain but nevertheless, I am extremely grateful to have been a part of this wonderful experience with you all. My day today was a very busy one, I don’t even know where to begin…We started off by having breakfast at the hotel, it was okay, but anything tastes better when its free lol. We headed off to start our city tour of Tangier at the Phoenician Tombs, where I saw the most beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea and Spain. This view alone made today my favorite day out of the entire trip. Standing there in front of that giant body of water and looking out into its never-ending void, I couldn’t help but feel a little emotional. I stood there thinking to myself, “How privileged am I to have had the chance to experience such an amazing view so far from home.” I stood there wishing that my parents and siblings were there with me to experience such a breathtaking scene with me. But I am proud to say that I have now seen both the Mediterranean Sea and Spain!

As we went throughout our tour, I started to realize how well preserved each historical site we went to was. And how deeply rooted Moroccan culture is with their history. One of the first historical sited we visited was the Kasbah Mosque, we looked through its beautiful architecture and then headed to our second location.  We then went on to visit the American Legation and Archaeological Museum, where I got to take some really cool pictures of myself and the building! My friends and I kept joking about how “at home” it felt and how “American” the building was, our tour guide welcomed us “home” lol. Finally, we concluded our tour at the heart of the Medina and said farewell to our amazing guide. But as tired as we were, we were even hungrier…

Our group was given two hours of free time after our busy tour so me and two of my friends headed down to find a seafood place near the water. As we munched down on our food a friendly face decided to join us! After lunch we made our way to the Cave of Hercules and the beach for our camel ride, something I was very excited to do before coming on this trip! As we arrived at the Cave of Hercules, the amazing view was too good not to get pictures! We made our way inside and got to see the famous “Map of Africa” within the cave. We continued our journey onto one of the most exciting parts of my trip thus far…the camels! The initial going onto the camel and the getting down part was very scary but overall, I would 100% do it again! Finally, we concluded our busy day with a heartfelt and relaxing diner as a group with our amazing staff, Oussama. Today was such a busy day but will remain my favorite day in Morocco thus far! Thank you for tuning in and being part of this amazing journey with us all:)
