Wednesday was a pretty interesting day. Starting with breakfast, the lads and I were able to enjoy eggs, sausage, watermelon, and melon/ pineapple juice. We then headed to the university where we had a presentation about perception, poverty, and had an activity about a population of 100 people. The activity prompt was, “if the population of the world consisted of 100 people, how would the different categories in things like sex, age, religion, etc. be split up in that population?”. After we were all able to get something down, we watched a video that went over the actual breakdown of the different categories. Going into this activity I didn’t really have any preconceived ideas about the breakdown of the different categories, so I viewed most of the percentages that were presented as "making sense” or as new information.

After the presentation we played a few games of BINGO to practice our numbers in Spanish but sized down the numbers being called and the size of the card. During the first round I was able to get a BINGO and won a little tote bag thinggy so that was pretty cool.
We had decided to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 so we began to head over to the movie theater after class because we ended up finishing class at a time that was relatively close to the beginning of the movie. Unfortunately, we ended up getting there too late and were told that they did not accept late entrances. Because of this we decided that we would just wait until the next showing of the movie, and that is when I began to lose track of what was going on.

Because we had decided to stay later than we had originally planned we had to message our mama ticas that we were going to miss dinner. This ended up being a bit more complicated because they ended up taking a while to answer if at all, so we ended up spending most of the time between the movie showings trying to get in contact with our mama ticas and figuring out who was going to do what. In the end we were able to get things sorted and split up to go watch a movie and eat.
Because I didn’t really want to watch a movie, I decided to go with the group that was going to eat. In the group was Riley, Karren, and me. We ended up going to a restaurant whose name I can't remember and just hung out until the other group ended the movie. I don’t really remember what we talked about, but I had a lot of fun and was able to practice my Spanish by translating for my associates.
