Where to begin?! Today was absolutely immaculate, around every corner there was another beautiful view or memory to be made! I started this day with a nice, light breakfast of eggs, avocado, tortillas, and agua fresca. I admit I had to rush to finish packing and make it to Cho and the bus on time. After this small hurdle, we were off to some amazing things.

One of our stops was at the Carara National Park. It was an experience I was waiting for so far on this trip. To walk along the path and observe nature in its natural state was very serene to me. This tree in particular was my favorite interaction on the walk. To see this in its utmost state, untamed and untouched, was beautiful to me. Although this tree does not go out and interact with society, I wish it a long and fruitful life.

In contrast, I got to interact a bit with some iguanas up close! A group of us saw multiple and took many pictures. I was amused to tell them I would eat them. Unfortunately the iguanas and Riley were not amused by this :(.
Our final stop for the day was Punta Leona. We all separated into our hotel rooms with our roommates and shortly headed to the beach! It was very refreshing and rejuvenating just to be in the water and feel the waves. I had a lot of fun swimming with the group. Unfortunately, I had a bit too much fun and the ocean took my glasses from me :( . BUT, I called home and there is already a pair waiting for me, so the party continues ;) .
I finished the day by dancing the night away with Elizabeth and Angie. We went to a bar that had live music! The performer was lively and fun, as well as others staying in Punta Leona. I got to watch other visitors and some locals show me how they dance to common music in Costa Rica. The majority of those who were dancing were older women, but they definitely had more stamina and energy than I did! Something that caught my eye was a type of tip-toe dance a lady was doing. I learned that it is a common cultural dance that Hondurans do! I also learned this dance where we hold hands while spinning each other, getting tangled and untangled with every spin. This was such a joyful experience, I would definitely do it all again, 10/10 experience!

Stay Healthy!
